View Designer Overview
The View Designer in Engyn allows you to customize how objects are displayed in specific contexts like tables and forms. This feature gives you the flexibility to tailor data presentation, ensuring that the information is displayed in the most user-friendly and relevant way.
View Types
Each view type is designed for specific contexts and cannot be used interchangeably:
Plain Text: Displays data in a simplified, text-only format suitable for tables.
Table Cell: Displays fields formatted specifically for cells in data tables.
Card View: Creates a more detailed visual format used in forms to display comprehensive information.
You can create multiple views of each type for use across various forms or tables. This flexibility allows you to design tailored displays for different use cases.
Default View
Engyn includes a default view that serves as a fallback if any custom view elements fail to work. This default view’s elements cannot be modified, ensuring there’s always a reliable display available.
